"Caleb did our first EP which was pretty lo-fi, being the first thing we ever did," McFetridge recalls. "We were happy to work with him again, but we really wanted to diversify a little from what we’d done before and were interested in getting some different sorts of sounds and doing some different sorts of things from what we’d done. He was the right person to do that.
We let him have a producer kind-of role. We did the full dodgy demos before we did it and handed them over and had a listen with him. We had long chats with him before we even rolled the tapes about what we’d been listening to, what we liked, what kind of things we wanted to do."
