RHUBARB - Start Again Single (The Program)
Start Again is the first single from long awaited third album - of the same name - and it is crunching guitar driven pop-rock. Produced by Caleb James, the hook-laden song with its sparkling melody has all the ingredients that make an infectious hit pop record.

THE CAROUSEL - Quietly Building An Empire (brispop)

As a fully-independent second offering, this is overwhelming. The benchmark has officially been set. If you liked The Teenage Fanclub's 'Thirteen', Radiohead's 'The Bends' or The Boo Radleys 'Giant Steps' (all of which are among our all-time favourites), you are going to love this. Congratulations boys, we always believed in you, and you have exceeded all expectations.
'Quietly Building an Empire' is the second EP from Brisbane four piece The Carousel. The follow up comes just 18 months after their debut but makes the kind of artistic leap that some groups wait ten years for. The Carousel’s growing love of the recording studio and depth of songwriting is immediately evident. These factors and the band’s rapidly expanding sonic palette are captured perfectly by producer Caleb James.

EDEN JAMES - Interview (Rave Magazine)

Behind the desk on Eden's debut is local producer Caleb James, who also lends a musical hand on the album, adding guitar, bass, backing vocal and keyboard parts.
"In searching for a producer, Caleb was actually the last one I met," Eden explains. "He played me a couple of tracks he'd recently worked on, and as soon as I heard them I thought, I've found my producer. We've got similar musical tastes and we were in the same headspace regarding where the songs should go musically and sonically."

LEO NINE - EP (Brispop)
There is very little to say about this EP, apart from, it's bloody brilliant!! This is one of those nasty discs which creep up on you and then gets its hooks (both vocal/lyrical & instrumental) into you. The production on this CD is awesome, so full & bright, at times a wall of sound then switching to a sparse ambience.

RHUBARB - Slow Motion (Sunday Mail)
Rhubarb are the Brisbane band who also performed something of an indie miracle, selling over 15 000 copies of their debut Kamikaze album on their own independent label. Plenty of bands with major label push never come close to that. And there’s nothing “indie” about the recording quality...

RHUBARB - Slow Motion (Rip It Up)
Slow Motion has all the hallmarks of a timeless record, and is truly a substantial body of work...

RHUBARB - Kamikaze (Phantom Tollbooth)

Seldom does a debut album impress me as much as Kamikaze does. Creativity, maturity, fun--this album has it all. Perhaps it is the fact that Rhubarb has been together for over five years. Having never released a song until mid-‘98 (when one of their songs was used on a local compilation), the band has spent most of its time playing live and honing its sound...Production was carried out by none other than Caleb James...
"The best thing that Caleb does for you is he stretches you. He’s not happy for a song to be OK.  He makes you milk it until it is just right." James took away the award for producer of the year at the prestigious Sunny Awards.

RHUBARB - Light On Your Shoulder (Beat)
…Rhubarb deliver a song worth owning, worth getting to know inside and out. An epic piece of country pop, of contrasting textures, of hypnotic grooves and mesmerising, spaced out vocals… there’s possibilities written all over this band.
