SHARON FRIEL

We have been developing songs with Sharon for her debut EP. Recording is commencing this week at Studios 301 in Byron Bay. We have enlisted the talented Joel Pascoe to bash the skins, got some great drums from Greg at The Drum Cartel and we are ready to rock! The songs have come up really well and we are looking forward to hearing them fleshed out.

ON THE VERGE

We have worked with Joel in various bands over the years but we truly feel this is the vehicle to break him successfully into the Australian Music industry. He is a fiercely gifted songwriter, a fantastic performer and has an awesome group of musicians playing with him to bring his music onto stages around the country. We are producing his debut EP and are excited about seeing where this leads for Joel.

DEBUT SINGLE

We are bunkering down with the boys from Willcomen to record their debut single 'You Got It'. They are great players and strong songwriters and it should be great fun to capture the first of hopefully many great tunes. 

INTERNATIONAL COMPILATION

The Hope Foundation is an amazing organization based in Brisbane, Australia that helps woman in difficult situations find healing and acceptance and ultimately a way out of their troubles. They have helped hundreds of woman who have been suffering in areas such as prostitution, drug addiction and abusive relationships. We helped them put together a compilation CD to raise money throughout 2010. We also recorded two new songs for the project - one by local songwriter Tim Muller and one of Caleb's solo pieces.

I REMEMBER WHEN I MET A HERO

We have been working for the last month as part of a creative team on the new short film from director Simon Temple. 'Ubermenche' is based on a famous series of graphic novels and has been brought to life on screen by an amazing team including Daniel Graetz of Graetzmedia, Hans Van Vliet and his team from IV Motion and of course, some fantastic actors and tech support. We have worked on the music composition and sound design and are really pleased with the results. QPIX are pushing it to a wide range of international film festivals over the coming months so it will exciting to see the developments.

BRISRAT PACK

These raggamuffin jazz men got together around an idea by founder and frontman, Timothy Hills. Tim has been a prominent member in the Brisbane scene for around 20 years and this latest outlet is receiving high praise. We are mixing a bunch of tracks for their coming LP. If you get the chance to see these guys live, make sure you do it - it is a raucous, fun affair.
