SHARON FRIEL

We are in the final stages of mixing Sharon Friel's debut EP and it is sounding fantastic! We have worked with Sharon over the last couple of months to shape something that encompasses all her influences and vocal skills. We will have samples up on the site soon.

HOPE FOUNDATION

The Hope Foundation is an amazing organization based in Brisbane, Australia that helps woman in difficult situations find healing and acceptance and ultimately a way out of their troubles. They have helped hundreds of woman who have been suffering in areas such as prostitution, drug addiction and abusive relationships. We helped them put together a compilation CD to raise money throughout 2010. We also recorded two new songs for the project - one by local songwriter Tim Muller and one of Caleb's solo pieces.

FEATURE ALBUM

Chamberland's latest EP, 'Take Your Place' which we produced and recorded for the band, has been selected as the feature album in this week's Scene magazine. They are gathering some awesome reviews for this first of three concept releases. If you get the chance, check out one of their amazing live shows...

IN THE CAN

We have been working for the last month as part of a creative team on the new short film from director Simon Temple. 'Ubermenche' is based on a famous series of graphic novels and has been brought to life on screen by an amazing team including Graetzmedia, IV Motion, Matthew Gray Mastering and of course, some fantastic actors and tech support. We have worked on the music composition and sound design and are really pleased with the results. QPIX are pushing it to a wide range of international film festivals over the coming months so it will exciting to see the developments.

ANTHONY COX & MAX JUDO

We want to pass on a big congratulations to Anthony Cox for his nomination in 'Best Rock Song' and Max Judo for their nomination in 'Best Indigenous Song' at the 2009 Q Song Awards. We produced both releases and are excited to see what happens later in the year when the winners are announced. Well done guys and good luck!

STU LARSEN UNEARTHED

Stu Larsen is one of the featured artists on Triple J's Unearthed site at the moment. We spent some time with Stu recording some stripped down versions of some of his new material and the result was The Black Tree EP. The title track is the song featured on Unearthed. Stu is an amazing writer and fantastic performer so support him on unearthed and get to a gig to see him! 

YVES KLEIN BLUE SIGNS UK DEAL

On the eve of their appearance in the UK at the Great Escape Festival in May, Yves Klein Blue inked a one-off deal with UK indie Guerrilla Music. Their first single Polka will be released there as part of an EP, Draw Attention To Themselves, on May 11. We produced the EP for the boys which got them a deal with Dew Process here. We are delighted that other regions around the world and picking them up. More power to them!

YKB ON THE TUBE

Yves Klein Blue have scored the sync deal for the latest Mitsubishi ad. Their single 'Polka' which we produced and recorded has been chosen for the latest campaign and is receiving heavy air time. This should open up some more avenues for the lads and expose them to a much larger audience. We wish them the best!
